● Make clinical decisions

● Perform physical and mental health exams and health histories

● Diagnose and treat certain acute illnesses and injuries within our area of specialty

● Provide pre and postnatal care and deliver babies

● Manage chronic illnesses such as depression, diabetes, asthma, and heart disease

● Perform selected procedures and treatments

● Provide patient education and counseling

● Promote wellness

● Prevent disease and injury

● Collaborate with all members of the healthcare team

● Engage in research education, and advocate for patients

● Provide cost-effective, high quality healthcare
